Finishes are indoor-safe, low-odor—plant-based oils and modern water-borne varnishes—so the wood keeps a natural hand that suits homes with kids and pets. The sustainability view is simple: build to last and make repair easy. Offcuts become brackets, samples, or packing spacers; fasteners and inserts use standard sizes so parts can be replaced without waste.
Vexigap’s Build Method
Boards rest to acclimate, then are checked for moisture, grain, and flaws. Faces are jointed and planed; parts are dimensioned on calibrated equipment; work returns to the bench for edge profiles and tight joinery (mortise-and-tenon, dowel/loose-tenon, or threaded-insert assemblies as the design requires).
